NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT AND COLIC BABY | TIPS AND TRICKS
Let me start of by saying that every single baby is unique and every single one is crying during the photoshoot but some tend to cry a bit more than the others. One of the reason for it might be that your baby is colicky.
A baby is labeled “colicky” if she cries more than 3 hours a day three days a week.
This period of colic generally starts when the baby is two or three weeks old. In most cases, if there is no underlying physical problem, it should start to lessen around the time baby is about eight weeks old. Most colic ends by the time baby is four months old.
Crying baby will not help during newborn session. So while asking your pediatrician is the best way to address this issue, I can suggest to try look into your own diet or the type or formula or baby bottle you are using.
Breastfeeding can cause colic
I highly suggest if your baby is gassy to avoid mentioned food 48 hours prior your session:
Berries
Grapes
Stone fruit
Strawberries
Mangoes
Cabbage
Tomatoes
Lentils
Garlic
Pineapple
Broccoli
Brussel sprouts
Cucumber
Radish
Cauliflower
Raw onion
Strong herbs and spices
Powdered yeast
Stimulants (tea, coffee, chocolate and alcohol).
There are also those foods that will encourage a healthy gut and can help prevent symptoms of colic. These include:
Apples
Pears
Asparagus
Carrot
Celery
Kale
Corn
Bananas
Papaya
Celery
Beetroot
Pumpkin
Zucchini
Mushrooms
Teas (chamomile, dandelion, fennel and cardamom)
Bone broths
Apple cider vinegar
